– Apresentação teórica: Expressão plástica infantil – âmbito, características, etapas de desenvolvimento e condições básicas para a realização de uma sessão com crianças;
– Riscadores básicos, sua adequação às idades e atividades;
– Desenhos a partir da sensação táctil de objetos;
– Desenhos a partir da sensação táctil nas próprias costas, produzida por uma colega;

– Mistura das cores primárias, branco e preto, na paleta (à procura das cores preferidas);

– Pintura com berlindes;
– Pintura com gotas de tinta (dripping);
– Pintura em grande formato com rolos e carimbos;
– Possibilidades de construção de ferramentas de desenho e pintura a partir e elementos naturais;
– Riscadores naturais: argila seca, curcuma, couve roxa, carvão, beterraba;

Painting course at Nextart School in Lisbon
During the summer holidays I really enjoy doing some art workshop during my trip, be it art history or practical painting classes.
This year I spent 3 weeks in Lisbon and before embarking I had already enrolled for the summer course with teacher Catarina Sá. The dates fit perfectly with my time in the city, I find this course option really practical for a short time.
The teacher Catarina is a great professional as both an educator and an artist.
We had 4 classes for two weeks, two Mondays and two Wednesdays from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.
The course is aimed at those who want to work and introduce art to children.
One of the classes I liked the most was the creation of the paint itself, being a work with children is extremely important that the material is not toxic and in the case of very young children I found the idea of creating paints with food, such as concentrated spinach juice, blackberry, turmeric, all these foods become interesting products to be used on paper.
1st session:
– Theoretical presentation: Children’s plastic expression – scope, characteristics, stages of development and basic conditions for holding a session with children;
– Basic markers, their suitability for ages and activities;
– Drawings from the tactile sensation of objects;
– Drawings from the tactile sensation in the back, produced by a colleague;
– Drawing from a visual stimulus (clipping pasted on the sheet).
2nd session:
– Invisible candle wax designs that become visible with subsequent application of watercolor;
– Blend the primary colors, white and black, in the palette (looking for preferred colors);
– Painting a sheet previously divided by strokes (executed by all) with the colors resulting from the previous mixture;
– Painting with marbles;
– Painting from the ink mixture placed directly on the table surface and later printed on paper by decal.
3rd session:
– Dripping paint;
– Large format painting with rollers and stamps;
– Possibilities to build drawing and painting tools from natural elements;
– Natural scratches: dry clay, turmeric, red cabbage, charcoal, beet;
– Execution of paints from food: chocolate, coffee, blackberry, elderberry, spinach, turmeric powder;
– Collages with colored paper starting from previously cut shapes.
4th session:
– free clipping;
– Collages with special papers of different visual textures and fabrics;
– paper naperons;
– stencil;
